Nearly there!

Well, we can’t believe just how quickly the time has come around and at the end of this week we will be off to St Louis for Mae’s operation! Like the proverbial swans, we may look calm on the surface but we’re paddling like mad under the water!

Whilst packing and preparation is still hapenning, we met with Calendar news today to talk about the journey, and it still feels surreal. It seems like it has been a whirlwind ride to get this far. We are so thankful for all the support along the way, and to those who continue to help us raise much needed after-care funds.

We have had some ups and downs – some great events to get us to this stage and some sad news about some local collection tubs which have been stolen, yet our supporters remain behind us and keep us going through it all.

We will be posting a fund total update very soon but we presently stand at an amazing combined total of £83,936 between the Hope4Mae page and the community fund.

We have been touched this week by the words of Dr TS Park and parents of children who have gone through the SDR operation and you can see the wonderful impact of this amazing surgeon in this YouTube video.

We can’t wait to bring you news of our very own experience and we are excited about the next part of our journey!

Well, we have smashed the £30k barrier this week, and there is more sponsorship money to come in from all the recent events. We couldn’t be happier!

There are a number of new credits in the Hall of Fame – people who have recently completed challenges or events on our behalf, and you can still donate to their Just Giving pages if you’d like to show your appreciation.

As ever, a huge thanks is extended to everyone who continues to help us achieve Mae’s goal of walking. If you, or a friend, feel you could support us with company sponsorship, a raffle prize or hosting your own sponsored event in our cause then please get in touch.

We currently have raffle tickets available for our Mega Raffle in September, and just a few places left at our Variety Night. Please contact us if you are interested in buying these. Thankyou!
